    I have come to this conclusion myself overtime. They do form a sprachund and are part of the bigger Eurasian family. Very few Turks seem to share your opinion though

    They like to claim all world as cousins.

    They even sometimes includes Mongolian language in to turkic group. Some words are similar but not to much.

    Turkish: Bengü
    Kazakh: Mengü
    Tuvan: Mönge
    Mongolian : Möngke

    Many words are similar between Turkic languages and Mongolian- but this may be due to military contact between the two groups along with proximity in Northern Asia, rather than a deep-seated linguistic relation between the two groups.
