Default Why do all national anthems sound the same?

Is it just me, or do all national anthems across the world, no matter how rich and exotic the culture, seem to sound like European marching-band music? Wouldn't one expect China's national anthem be more 'plinky'? Shouldn't Iraq's national anthem sound a little more 'oriental/arabic'?

India is one of the very few unique anthems in semi-local style. Nearly all of them are the same, marching band, reeking of heavy colonialism.

It is absurd the national anthem of Thailand shares any musical elements with (for example) Germany's. This clearly is Western music. Quite embarrassing if you start noticing it.. people being emotional over the exact same music, especially sad if it's clearly foreign to them.

Almost all the flags look like US flag or union jack, too. Most countries don't really invent shit, and many of them are recently made up countries anyway.

And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Finns and Estonians share the same anthem, just different lyrics.
