What do you mean by "considered homicide". There is no article for "homicide" in the Russian criminal code, there are separate ones for "intentional homicide" and "causing death by accident". In that sense its the same as for example the US criminal code, which has separate articles for "murder" and "manslaughter". Of course causing death by accident is not considered intentional homicide, because it isn't. Assault that led to accidental death is also not considered intentional homicide, because it isn't. It is punished severely though, which is the whole point. I can't see what is it that you disagree with here?

I think you were arguing a separate point to mine. I mentioned to glasses that maybe the number is higher than the homicide numbers in Russia because some of those domestic deaths might have been accidental. Therefore they wouldn't have shown up on homicide rates.

Initialy i thought those numbers came from ministry, journalist just twisted it. Your suggestion could not be valid because official would say exactly as you suggested if it was so.
But this number is nowhere near official data, so basicaly everything i wrote here except post13 is irrelevant

I'm surprised with Brazil too, I didn't expect that. I don't know of any cases within my social circle, but Brazil is big so probably up in the northern and poor part of the country it happens more than here.
