Well the way the german guy pronounces the words is very stereotypical and not really how the germans really speak. To me german sounds better than all the other languages which are represented in this video.

I think videos of Hitler giving an angry speech resulted in the stereotype. Lol.

Videos are funny, but of course stereotypical.

To me German sounds pretty good, but some of the words are quite funny from the perspective of an outsider. Standard German seems a lot more 'clunky' and the words are more easily defined than some of the dialects which seem to flow more organically. It definitely sounds harsher than English.

German humour is also incomprehensible to me:

If you yell like an idiot (like this guy in the video) every language would sound like that. I like how German sounds, and I think it's a really nice language (even though it's hard to learn ). Nevertheless, funny video.

For me Dutch seem like they try to speak German but pronounce the words funnily

But anyway, German sounds "normal" to me.
I think it has to do with exposure, I'm also quite used to English. Romance or Slavic languages sound more "extraordinary" to me.

I think the main difference is that Romance languages sound very fast paced compared to German, and with Slavic languages i have trouble making out any words - they just seem to flow into each other. Whereas with German it's both slower paced and the words are more clearly defined, just it seems like some of the words and ways of saying things are excessively long lol.
