Looking at those averages, Iberians do have noticeable amount of Baltic component. They just have more West Med than Baltic, as well as more East Med than Baltic (except Cantabrians), which isn't the case with Northwest Europeans.

I confess that I had no idea of the general genetic makeup of iberians when I wrote that, and neither I have now , but I believe you, and I have no problem with having some baltic genes, some neolithic farmer genes and some neanderthal genes, all of them are welcome and living in a harmonious camaraderie inside me.

Spain and Portugal are countries with a great history, both had great empires in the past. Empires where the sun did never set, and they both spread their blood in much of the Latin America's population, where millions of their descendants are proud of having blood of Conquistadores. Because YES, there are millions of whites, criollos, and castizo Latin Americans of mostly Iberian stock, thanks to those two great Iberian empires. Same cannot be said from certain other European countries located around the Baltic Sea.

Mestizos, harnizos, and Amerindian Latin americans are very proud people too, but that's another topic.

Latin America is NOT even close, comparable in its levels of poverty, compared to Africa, India or some very poor Asian countries. Precisely the Latin American countries that are better positioned than other Latin American countries (and which are even not that far in their level of development, compared to some European countries), are in most cases, those with more white ancestry, (and in all of them, Iberian ancestry is very present in great part of their white, or predominantly caucasian populations), as is the case of countries like Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Costa Rica, Northern Mexico, inner Colombia, etc.

Both, Spain and Portugal are countries with beautiful people (including very beautiful women). Countries with an excellent standard of living, and with an excellent cuisine, and excellent wines. Both, Spain and Portugal, have given enormous contributions to the world in all areas. Spaniards, Portuguese, as well as millions of their direct descendants in Latin America, as well as millions of whites, criollos, and castizo Latin Americans with at least a high level of ancestry from Spain/Portugal, are very proud of their fully (or predominantly) Iberian stock, and do NOT accept anybody as their superiors, LOL.
