You make a serious error in judgement; if we were to analyse Yugoslavia, for instance, without western sponsorship and direction, Yugoslavia would had survived! In brief, Tito was helped into power by the British, ironic isn't it, helping a communist become a president! He broke off ties with USSR and not long after, the country almost 'bankrupted'; out-of-desperation he seeked USA financial support, they propped up the country and made him a celebrity! The death of the country began in 1984 when USA passed a bill to end financial aid and began sponsoring small bands nationalist groups; they went to the extent by starving even the republics, why, to force them to split!

Because you got many fellow macedonians that cluster closer to Albanian-Greeks than to other textbook Northern/West Slavs, in other words you're closer to an albanian genetically than to a Pole, a russian is miles away from you.

So much for slavic pureness, however you should feel lucky you got some native Balkaner blood in you, I feel quite good when members like Vojnik and Alex admit this and that they prefer links to Balkan natives than Slavs.

Hence the statues of Alexander, Philip, Justinian etc. in Skopje and throughout Macedonia.
We are not pure anything, we are mix of peoples - primarily paleo-Balkan and Slav.

Albanians have deeply mixed with Slavs; Albs have assimilated many Slavs inside Shqiperia! I disagree with Sokol of mixed origins for Macedonians, they are Slavs and they have been in the Balkans forever, like Bulgarians too.....

Shqiptars, highlanders, originate from the Caucasus, finally brought into Old Slavic Albania by Georgios Maniakos in 1043AD from Sicily to fight native Slavs of the area!

If by Slavic you mean East Nordid - Baltid types, then yes, most Macedonians don't look Slavic, although a small percentage do. We are more typical Balkan looking, ie., Dinarid, Pontid-Med types with Slavic admixture.

^ it's fact! Real history has been highjacked by Austro-Hungarians/Germans/Vatican; they can't prove Shqiptarian existence prior to 1043AD! Whatever Albs talk here is another tale in the story of 'LORD OF THE SHQIPTAR RINGS'! My advice to you and your trolls under the bridge:
