    This Hallingdøl is badass

I suppose this is where they got the inspiration for the male bunad for Hallingdal.

Does someone have some pictures from the Østerdal-region? I just wonder about them being more on the Nordid side so to say.

I have quite a few by I have none scanned: Maybe I'll have time to do so today. The Åmot, Engerdal, Alvdal and Os municipalities are particularly Trønder/Robust yet tall (not squat) Nordid-Faelid composites exhibiting limited reduction.

*Just as a side note, I understand that the purpose of the thread is not to provide some representative Racial composite, but I would like to note that - in my observation - a strong 50% of the individuals posted in the pictures are atypical as far as phenotype if considering Norway as a whole (even though rural Scandinavians - more generally - do tend to be more squat, on average).
Often, in our attempts to show people that they do not know what they believe they do, it is exposed that they lack any identity whatsoever - beyond the belief that they know anything at all.

There is nothing really atypical about them, people were generally shorter and more robust in those days.

Even though many of those deviate, show clear Cromagnoid, Alpinoid or Osteuropid traits, its actually one of the few pictures posted so far in which I recognise a Skandonordid majority. Its especially visible if looking at the nasal shape, which was always a more constant trait. Compare it with those of other images in this thread and its quite obvious - thats something I thought immediately when first looking at the image.

If comparing with what Coon wrote, this one looks like an Iron Age-chief descendent:

Probably one of his ancestors was sitting similarly with a stone battle axe, bronze dagger or iron sword in past generations.

One of the most progressive and typically Nordid individuals posted so far.

This can be based, at best for the author, only on the eye shape, which isnt visible from this photograph of course.

Otherwise he is without any doubt more Europid and Nordid. Rest in the other thread
