Well, what I meant to say more exactly is that those who look upon the photographs in this thread would be left with the impression that rural Norway is chalk-full of East Baltids; and, no different - Racially - than North West Russia, which isn't so. Incipiency (Cf. Coon) is common; full-blown Baltisation is rare.

Also, the macro and micro-nutrient profile of the traditional Scandinavian diet (diet improvement/decline being what would affect genotypical expression/phenotype the most in the last 100+ years) did not change much even after industrialisation (with the exception of Danes and their eating of candy). So, the overall Robusticity of Scandinavian phenotypes are no different today than in the time of the pictures; ergo, they are representative of 'aberrance' in the Scandinavian/Norwegain phenotypical cline, more than anything else.

Those photos only display poor Norwegian peasants of XIX century (besides in black and white) in some way it is representative too , if someone here is interested in how the Norwegians look like go to a travel in Norway

It depends very much per region:

Better is perhaps the map which shows the amount of Nordid individuals per region compared with eachother. Nordid is here used for the people with light hair and light eyes combined with long face, long heads and tall stature:

If it does possibly or not, it is not this noticeable at least to my eyes , seriously, I'm fond of brunette Norwegian girls. Marion Raven is a good example she is from Southern Norway if I'm not mistaken..

As a complete outsider - yes. It also seemed to me like there is more variation between Norwegians than Swedes (i.e. wider range of looks).
