Afghano-Pakis (the national boundaries are more or less imaginary.) They are also the most backwards.

I think the most strict are the Saudis and the Afghans. Strict doesn't always correspond with most religious though. Most observant Muslim country I've been to was Djibouti. Most people there are Somali, Arab and Afar. Seemed like most people prayed regularly. However, there were bars and lots of prostitution. It's a poor country and there are a lot of sailors and soldiers there so that's why.

I would say Pakis, Somalis, Egyptians, and maybe Afghans. Most Iranians and Lebanese people here are liberal, also most Shia muslims are not about pushing their religion on others here so plus they intermarry with Christians here a lot. I know Pakis here are extremely serious about their religion here. Albanians and Bosnians are spiritual usually not overly religious......I will say all of them are socially conservative and side with religious Christian on every social argument.

Bedouin Arabians are not really "religious" as many people would commonly define it and they practice a form of Islam that is liberal and spiritual more so than the other groups, that is based on Sunni Islam. They are more spiritual. As well most Bedouin Arabians would regard the Burkha to be alien to their culture and see it as Persian element rather than an Arabian tradition. Thus when ones goes to interior Arabia, the Bedouin women don't even wear it. Also gender segregation is not common among the Bedouin Arabian, and seen as an import, and completely disregarded. Even the term for it Purdah is non-Arabic. Not to mention the women from my mother's tribe wear tattoos and colorful clothing it's modest and the hair is often braided in long stands. Example from my mother's tribe:

Their only wearing the face cover as face protection and has nothing religious:

Here women and men interact freely with not with the alien import called the purdah

Thus one can be religious in their own way.
