Who is more alike; Irish-Russian, or Portuguese-Sicilian?

irish people and Russians maybe at first glance could look similar but that to me is with skin tone. I mean phenotypes stick Brunns with Baltics and Slavs it would look strange.

I don't think Portuguese and Sicilian actually look alike, so do you guys really think Russians and Irish look that different from one another?

No. But I think Portuguese look so distinct for Southern Europe that they are even more different from the average than are Russians for North Europe.

It is interesting that Irish and Russians are closer genetically than Portuguese and Sicilians because there are a lot more countries separating Irish and Russians than Portuguese and Sicilians. Maybe you are just more aware of the Portuguese look than other people. I just find the Russians look very Eastern and have a Slavic look so I don't find they look similar to the Irish.

That may be. For whatever it's worth people found, in my other thread, Greek-Spanish more similar than British-Polish. So maybe northern Europe is more diverse. But I know I have never mistaken a Portuguese for anything else except Spanish or French, but that's rare since I can pick them out 90% of the time even from Spanish.
