Yes they are mixed with Arab. They do have some fairly recent Arab admixture yes, but much of is ancient. There are dark looking East Africans just as there are light ones and they vary in admixture, but they range around the 60%Negroid/40%Caucasoid range. Caucasoid does not equal white. Put aside your thoughts about Europeans when you hear this word, because I know "Caucasian" in your country usually refers to Europeans. But in anthropology, Caucasian many times is used for the West Asian population between Europe and the Middle East, such as countries like Armenia for example. But Caucasoid includes Europeans, non-black North Africans, Middle Easterners, West Asians and South Asians such as Indians. So when I say "Caucasoid", it doesn't necessarily mean European, but one of those groups, or in this case the ancestors of one of those groups. Negroid is of course West African Central African and South African types. East Africans are a mix of both Negroid and Caucasoid. In their particular case, the Caucasoid was of the Middle Eastern type, but a bit from the non-black North African type also. I hope you understand what I'm saying.
