Very interesting pictures. But I read that the population are the purest nordic men of
the world without any brown eyes. But they do not look so nordic, some are alpine
or east-baltic. I believe that the country people of the north of the Netherlands
are much more nordic or cro-magnon than the Norwegians.

That is actually my perception as well. I find the Friese and the Danes more rugged and Western, while among the peninsular Scandinavian populations there is always a noticable Eastern, one might say "Baltid", strain.

I cannot believe that they are real nordics. Some of them have brown hair.
More teutonic people are found in Jutland, East-Frisia and north of the
Netherlands.

That depends on your definition of "Teutonic". But so it seems from the images of Norwegians posted so far in various threads. It would be nice if someone (like Lars or The Black Prince) posted a similar collection of people from Denmark or Friesland. We could make a rough comparison.

be arrived from other parts of Europe, maybe central Germany or the
British Islands.

I am sure no such thing happened. I think the ancestry of the Saetersdalen population does not differe to that of coastal Norway. And surely they did not arrive from the British Isles coz they don't look British.

The question then is what exactly is a Nordic?

1. Of, relating to, or characteristic of Scandinavia or its peoples, languages, or cultures.

If we follow this defintion then the swarthiest Scandinavian is more Nordic than the blondest Lithuenian, it describes Nordic/Scandinavian culture and people and is unrelated to any specific phenotype wich is my belief.

As you have often seen by now, many ppl seem to have a misconception of what Nordic is. This leads to paradoxes like this that most Nordic people are non-Nordic. Or that Ethiopians are "comparable" to Nordics

Like when someone told me that the people in the most cultural hertiage places in south Norway Øst-Telemark, Hallingdal and Setesdal looked "racially suspect".

It seems many English and Americans have the most myths and misconpections about Norwegian people, maybe they dislike the truth and would rather believe in fantasies about 6 feet giants with steel blue eyes and white blonde hair, who ride in golden chariots through the skies with winged helmets on their heads and a hammer in their hand.

I suppose that in Norway there was a lot of interbreeding. So this must cause a lot of
disease and psychotic deviations such as neurotism, autism etc. For example in the
Netherlands there are a lot of neurotic people with the Frisians.
