Lol the last part is certainly undisputed historical truth. The ukrainian state created in 1918 was set up by germans as a puppet state, together with a few other former russian possesions made into states nominally independent and certainly autnomous, but with the aim of bringing them into the sphere of german influence and to exploit them economically and to serve as buffer states against russia as well. Although even as part of german sphere of influence they would still have more independence, with pro-german governments and german princes as kings and with cultural autonomy, than as russian provinces subjected to russification policy. The german mittleeuropa plans and the creation of satellite states in central and eastern europe in 1918 after brest litovsk treaty is real and mainstream history.

actually ukrainians are the real russians(ruthenians) and modern russians are finno-ugrians who adopted an eastern slavic language.The ukrainian language was heavily influenced by polish but is more conservative than russian.Ukrainians look similar to poles or western russians.
