Only a minority of Asturians (mostly old people) speak this language and most are just Castilian speakers, but they speak with a strong Asturian accent and use a lot of its words and characteristics. Also there are many music bands that sing in Asturian:

Asturian has two things in common with Catalan, something I've always found quite weird. Initial Latin l's become ll, and plurals are in -es too. So the moon and the whores are exactly the same in Asturian and Catalan: la lluna i les putes.

It sounds somewhat with Spanish and Portuguese (kind of similar to Galician). Caballu Llocu e el fiu de puta.

Like the Spanish one. The X is pronounced like Galician, Portuguese, Catalan.

If it was not specified that it's asturian I would have exchanged it for Castilian of Spain at 100%.
