First try; 950. I fucked up at Burmese by thinking it was Malay.

700, a few lucky guesses but the south-east asian and african languages ultimately did me in.

Me too. I got all the euro languages correct even though the proposed ones were easy to spot.

European languages are easy for us, I guess. I easily recognize mandarin, japanese, tibetan, farsi, dari, arabic, hebrew, turkish, hungarian, but the rest are hit and miss. I guessed correctly tigrinya on one occasion but didn't recognized it a few seconds later.

The first and last time I played the game has been a couple of weeks ago. Just tried again and scored 1050.

It's very interesting how the intonation alone can give enough clues to place languages in geographic zones, although I've never heard them before.

I tried several times for fun and always got away with only one or two mistakes. I got all east asian languages right (they are very easy to discern if you are at least a bit used to these countries' movies or culture in general like me), and most european (I had never heard slovenian before, sounds weird) and middle-eastern ones. The others were tougher sometimes, especially those from the Indian area. Very interesting quizz, anyway.
