I can't pinpoint its age as I don't have it to hand right now, but I'd say it must be at least 100 years old, and it's (unsurprisingly) a Bible that belonged to either my grandparents or great-grandparents. If I only count books I've bought second-hand from booksellers, the oldest are from the 50s and 60s.

I inherited some older books from my grandparents. The oldest one is an 1899 printing of Kipling's "The Jungle Book". I read it as a kid when I visited and was very disappointed that Kipling seemed to get things wrong. At the time, I believed the Disney movie was definitive in terms of telling the story. Actually, my grandmother gave it to me when she was in her last phase since it meant so much to me as a kiddo.

Not too long ago I found a Olive the Other Reindeer book signed by the author from 1999 or so.

I think there are older books around but that's the oldest I remember reading lol.
    =(^.^)=

Also I don't do classifications currently, sorry.

Angry thanks to the portuguese princess...

    ...the thread containing my post
detailing the genetics of my parents

    and explaining our ancestry
back to a farm in what is now sweden

    has vanished
    along with thousands more.

the oldest book in my collection
    is our family bible

which lists ancestors over hundreds of years
    in many different hands.

The oldest one I have is an outlier from 1789 — a Catholic reading and prayer book in German. Otherwise, the second oldest ones are from the second half of the 19th century.
