This thread is in the war & military section. Kind of funny. I recall the horrors of the knitting war of '98.

Yes! I can knit (currently busy with winter scarves for the husband), crochet, sew (hand and machine) and for embroidery I can do needlepoint, candlewicking, cross-stitch and stumpwork.

I have absolutely NO idea how I ended up posting this in War & Military. I'm not even drunk! I've moved it to Off-topic now.

Both very manly activities, I know.
My husband can knit. He saw me doing it and wanted to learn too. It was a struggle trying to teach him because he is left-handed and I am right-handed. Eventually both he and I gave up, so now he knits with the right hand. He knitted his own winter scarf about 5 years ago.

I can sew to repair things and that's about it. My mom never did any of that so I never learned anything from her.

Like Siberian, I can bead a little bit if feeling motivated to make some of my own jewelry. Hand crafts are harder for me now than they used to be with the carpal tunnel.

    I can cook, though

Oh...and I can do lots of nursey shit like start an IV, put in a foley catheter, etc

haha! They always got me to do the fine suturing on faces because of my patience and sewing skills. I was renowned for facial suturing!.

Now I'm not a lady (not that i know of anyways ), but I learned to knit as part of a club we were required to join. Well, we were required to join a club, and there was one listed as Austrian culture or something of that sort, I though hmm interesting. Then she made us nit, although that wasn't all we did to be fair. I made my own scarf yay

I can sew and embroider to some degree as I learnt both at school, but I don't tend to now unless I need to repair something. I vaguely remember being taught to knit at one point, but I can't remember how to now. I'm not particularly crafty

I can cook but I hate it!! Most of the time I plead ignorance to get my husband to do it.
