Default Latin (WOG) MUSIC ( hispanic, Spanish, Brazilian, Italian, Romanian, French) house commercial

Raggaeton, zumba music and so on. Please post, bcs in this period I have a think with it (I am in my pre-summer mood period) and I want to make a compilation.

Can I say one thing? We Latin do the best music, except modern Italians which are depressed and the French with are depressive.

    Some songs that I like:

I don't think these types of music should be grouped together. Reggaeton, zumba, etc. are significantly African and should not be grouped in with anything in Europe.

    1. Italy does the best pop music.
    2. France does the best lyric-driven music.
    3. Portuguese music is about the most depressed and depressing among all Latin-dom.

Glad to see Catalan music is not included.

That's right. The genuine folk music in Latin Europe is way too different from that of the Americas. It must be what she called 'depressive'.

However, dances in Latin Europe are far from depressive when you know them better. They're rather sensual, though, while in Latin America they're rather sexual.

Personally "Latin" to me is Latin Europe, and reggaeton and zumba are Afro-diasporic music. Also southern Italian music has Greek influence, French music has Germanic, etc. It varies.

Yeah that's what I have observed. Latin music in Europe is more about sublimated sexuality. A chaste sexiness. While Latin music in the Americas is no holds bar, leave nothing to the imagination sort of sexuality.

I fail to see any Germanic input in our musical traditions. There's a definite Gallic continuum, though.

Merci, nice cookie. The unmistakable voice of Maria del Mar Bonet. One can notice and smell the Mediterranean in her voice, way far from anything Latin American.
