Devil's claws are kind of like those little thistle burs that get stuck to your clothes when you walk through a field, except instead of being tiny, mild annoyances, they look more like some unholy spider beast from some twisted American McGee version of our childhood. They come from Arizona, where they are used by Native Americans to weave baskets and likely as a ward for enemies who are probably smart enough to stay the fuck away from anything that looks like a minefield of headcrabs:

The horrifying seed pods are designed to latch on to the feet of passing animals, which will then transport them to another location before crushing them underfoot and releasing the seeds.

back when I was a ranch hand, had to pull these out of sheep fur all the time. and they'd get into your socks if your jeans weren't long enough, and sometimes they would anyhow.
    but.
we eventually made bracelets out of them .
I'd like to get some seeds and plant them where illegal aliens pick strawberries...
I'm looking for people like me, who are crazy, fun, and not afraid of life. and one day when I find them, we'll escape, we'll break out of the zoo.

There is a different type of Devil's Claw (Teufelskralle) in Namibia.

They make herbal tablets from them.

I think plants and flowers are therapeutic.

    Some Tiger-Lilies...

Bluebells (they can also be pale pink and white colours)

    Foxgloves (beautiful but very poisonous)

    An unusual Venus Fly Trap

Also, I recommend visiting Kew Botanic Gardens in London since it holds the worlds largest collection of living plants for over 250 years, palatial grade-listed hand-blown glass conservatories with wrought-iron ornamental staircases inside and also the worlds largest library of plant drawings, paintings and books. It's maintained by over 650 botanists and has tree-level bridge walks.

Kew has the worlds smallest water-lily which was saved from extinction at Kew Gardens and carnivorous plants and cactus houses full of unusual cacti from around the planet, and giant water-lilies are there too, along with a Chinese Pagoda, Japanese gardens and it's a World Heritage listed UNESCO site for plant and flower lovers.

Worlds smallest waterlily at Kew Gardens, Greater London/Surrey

Another event is the annual Chelsea Flower Show. It's a must-see for horticultural lovers of plants, flowers and unusual garden designs by international designers.
Celebrities and royalty from Monaco and England also attend this big flower show even held at the Royal Hospital grounds in Chelsea, London, every May.
(It's seen as the floral equivalent of a designer fashion show!)

Floating Irish Sky Garden design at the Chelsea Flower Show

The Chelsea Physic Gardens is several hundred years old and very tranquil has a lot of therapeutic and edible plants and flowers inside and the Colombia Flower Market in London is another good place I recommend for flower lovers since London was named as the world garden capital.

I recommend Hampton Court Palace flower show (in London) and the Kensington Roof Gardens with English, Tudor and Spanish gardens (also in London) for flower and plant lovers if they're visiting, but the biggest collection to see and smell are in Londons Kew Gardens (the worlds largest collection of plants and flowers from around the world).
