Why is Japan technologically more advanced than other developed countries?

1) The Japanese people are intelligent.

2) Due to low birth rates, the Japanese population is getting old and dying off without producing new citizens to join the workforce. Since they don't want their nation flooded with third world immigrants, they're turning to robots and automation to compensate for the shrinking number of human workers. Why? Because of reason number one: the Japanese people are intelligent.

I agree with you. In international market German and Japanese products are considered as a highest quality products.
But I see Japan slightly on top than Germany; they are too much into robotics stuffs.

Probably yes, but if you can see the high percent of the growth among the immigrant population in Germany, then Germany takes first place as the best country, because of a best living standard. So Germany is the best, isn't it?

Could have something to do with the results of WWII. After they weren't allowed to have a military, they put more focus into things that improved people's lives, like fancy trains, and stopped wasting money on excessive military expenditure like the USA does.

Even when I type the name of any city in US whose spelling is similar to any Indian city, it first displays that Indian city and then the city in US. You can even see an Indian girl doing "Namaste" on the official page of Facebook on Facebook's birthday. Last year Google covered live updates on Indian Elections. I never see this for any other country.
So Yeah! they are huge in numbers and doing well for US.
