I am sorry if I came off as a little hhostile.. there's nothing wrong with taking an interest in your ethnic heritage! Honestly, welcome to Apricity.

    But it's still 'h' and not 'c'.

Welcome! I've also considered dabbing into Old English as a native speaker, and since it would be interesting to look at the evolution of the language, though I only have a little bit of English ancestry so it wouldn't be for ancestral pride. Still, I think it is a nice thing to do, regardless of the reason. I look forward to any contributions you may bring.

    Welcome to the forum EngliscNative.

Please don't get the impression that you won't fit in at The Apricity simply because some members challenge you or try to start debates. That's what forums are all about anyway. Exchanging opinions, ideas, thoughts, experiences, knowledge... growing, learning, evolving. If we all there were no conflicting perspectives, any forum would be a very boring and uninspiring place. And for everyone that opposes you, you will surely find as many others who support you. No forum consists of a group of people who are all in agreement with each other.

Thank you all! I accept English or Englisc from you - However I will always consider myself Englisc, I will always write it so, it would be inscribed upon my gravestone (if I were to have one). I always only recognise one flag - The White Dragon as my flag.
    Yes my lineage is olde.
I realise a European Forum could be a little tuff!

As English/Englisc I have no parliament nor representation - I am NOT British!

Who are the British? If it's not the Scots, the Welsh or the English(c)?
    Interesting thought?

NO!! I will defend my homeland with all I can give, if I am left fighting with just one limb that will be so - IF ATTACKED, once the enemy is defeated THEN I will gladly make the tea

I do not support fighting others peoples wars - such as currently.

I DO however support and salute our brave fellow military (who are acting on instruction of the British Government - not by choice!), who are risking (and losing there lives) fighting said other peoples wars...

Then, when slain by said "other people" return home to find the same ethnic people that they were fighting for, demonstrate against them.
Thankfully the fast majority of people from Wootton Bassett outnumber those scumbags and pay due respect to OUR dead.

The battle within our homeland cannot be won with violence, not unless the British military are a part, once the English(c) have their own parliament, I believe there will be no more need for a British Government, who are currently behaving in a treacherous way AGAINST US! in the current climate I believe the Army would be called out against US IF civil war broke out.

SO maybe not exactly a pacifist... however I would favour dialogue over death any day! BUT if it comes to it I will be prepared to shed as much blood as you Sir - absolutely - NO question!

I make a good cuppa, so I will still make the tea up

Nothing wrong with starting shit, my friend.
I have a feeling this may be quite an interesting place for debate:-

My problem is being hot under the colar, years and years of pent up anger witnessing the willful destruction of my homeland orchestrated by non less than the British Govmt!! As I said at the beginning this is I think the first site, I have been able to select "England" rather than UK for country!
    Cheers!

Why do you call yourself Englisc if you're from Wessex? Surely that makes you Seaxisc?

Going getting tuff here - my lineage is mixed Englisc/h I currently live in what would have been Wessex, perhaps I have completed the personal info boxes in correctly, seems too many sub and sub sub ethnicities.

Bottom line I am 100% English/c (as far as i can determine) as to subdivide further would be impossible, let me see if I can back up and sort it!

Done - but my flag is not there!! Where is the White Dragon?
