Tanks in general are obsolete. Army-vs-army full-scale land-based warfare between advanced countries may never happen again.

    Yes it will.
Can you imagine Russia or US just giving up their military and telling soldiers to switch to Taliban tactics?
That doesnt work in real world.

Russo-American proxy wars were fought in Afghanistan, Korea, and Vietnam. Not exactly ideal for tank warfare.

If China attacks Taiwan, do you think tanks will be used?
How about if the Kurds go to full-blown war with ISIS?

    Doubt it.

I wouldn't be so sure. The Russians are making a lot of noise, than you have the Chinese also flexing some muscle.

How about countries on equal footing, instead of pitting dwarves against giants, and then talking how dwarves dont stand and fight like giants.
If Netherlands and Belgium go to war - war would be conventional.
If France and Great Britain go to war, it would be conventional
If Russia and China go to war, war would be conventional.
If Netherlands and US go to war, war would be unconventional, with taliban-like rebel structures, fighting a war of attrition.

There is a different way to fight a war if your enemy is equal and if he is 10 000 times stronger than you. If Afghanistan was in war with Tajikistan, the war would be conventional, without Talibans or suicide bombings but if they fight Russians of Americans they would do anything to cause as much casualty, while denying the enemy the advantage
    Hi everyone!

They already have the Stryker. They just need to do a few mods to make it more resistant.
