Abruzzo never had a Greek colonization, but they cluster not very far from far southern Italians (Sicilians, Calabrese) and Greek islanders. They probably cluster a bit more to the south than a number of mainland Greeks.
Is this proof that the pre-Greek population of southern Italy may have had strong Aegean influences to start?
