The first Romanian sentences I ever heard, before the South-West of Europe became New Romania, were clearly Romantic:

Sufletul ei nu poate să fie salvat. Ea este blestemată. Astă e legea lui Dumnezeu.

Tu n-ai iubit niciodată.
