    According to a recent article published by New York Times Albania is the oldest European language but third world oldest just behind Armenian & Greek.

    Good because that's what I got from this also.
    It's also interesting Raine hasn't been active since the day this article was published. I care about raine's well being, for sure.

    Other than that, albos are just as old as us in the Balkans. It'd be a wonder if their language wasn't.

    The title says European only and if it was Indo-European only, languages like Persian/Farsi would have to be included because it is one of the oldest surviving languages in the world.

    proto-Indo-European is as old if not younger than the branches of Afro-Asiatic so there is no way modern IE languages (not even branches) are the world's oldest languages.
    In Europe, Basque is probably older than any IE languages, in Western Europe at least.
