    Hausa sounds the most divergent to me.


    I think songs aren't ideal for this thread IMHO, a discussion or tv news would be better. And sticking with a couple of major languages of each branch is more useful: South Somali is probably not very representative of Cushitic languages, Tuareg berber is probably not either for Berber languages.
