    Could be quite danger to identify yourself with Gods and Goddesses. Trying to avoid that.

    Why may I ask?
    Cattle die, kinsmen die,
    the self must also die;
    but glory never dies,
    For the one who is able to achieve it.

    Sayings of the High One.

    I'm not quite sure what you guys are talking about. The only deity from whom you might expect to receive "hostile" attention (or tough love) would be Odin. Aside from that, I can't think of any reason why you would at all avoid identifying with the Gods and Goddesses.

    Shouldn't one welcome the tough love of Odin? Strength by trial.

    Are you familiar with Egil's Saga? The old man can be pretty harsh. His "love" is certainly not meant for everyone.

    Not guy here, I am a woman

    The problem could be issued through identification. You know all Gods have their nice and also (as humans) bad nature and habitts. Through identification with certain God or Goddess you establishing connection (psychomagnetic energy) link.

    I think you all know how important is our first names, don't forget:
    "the life of a person is invested in his name." Knowing the name (of you, or other living creatures, or God or Goddess, or even ...well u know what kind of energy, etc) we could control it to some degree. So you all know what is evoking, and the main thing in evoking is the name! Once the name is known the awareness by itself produces a special link with that God. Sometimes u have to use rituals, but most of us don't need rituals, identification is more then enough or just years of meditation and routine.

    (Pyri-)Phlegethon, obviously.

    Seneca, Phaedra 1226 (trans. Miller) (Roman tragedy C1st A.D.) :

    "More dreadful things have I [Theseus] seen [in the underworld] which Phlegethon bids imprisoned sinners suffer, compassing them about with his stream of fire; what punishment waits for me, and what place, I know."

    Brother, these Americans are shopkeeper souls stinking to heaven. Dead for all spiritual life, totally dead. The nightingale is right that it does not come to these wretched existences. To me it is of serious, deeper meaning that America has no nightingale at all. To me it seems to be poetic justice. A Niagara voice is necessary to preach to these crooks that there are higher Gods than those coined in the mints."
