I personally view Finns as people who are accustomed to the harsh climate of Northern Europe. They have worked hard for centuries and now they live in a very prosperous and functioning state. They are no Arabs who have a lot of oil which allows them to wallow in luxury and excess. No, they seem pretty modest and diligent.
I'm no Southerner myself, I don't live in a peach orchard. So I perfectly understand what winter and the cold mean.

I like the fact that these Northern Euro countries like Norway and Finland have natural resources, yet they remain diligent, hard working and not corrupt. I think it says a lot about their spirit as sincere, serious, modest, unpretentious and generally good people who are down to earth and have strong values. The vast majority of Scandinavians/Northern Euros I've come across are this way, I have a lot of respect for them.
