I'm fine with a bit of Bible-bashing but he is the most monotonous damn speaker ever. And besides, in my experience Christians are less likely in general to betray their heritage than non-Christians.

Christian "heritage" is from the Middle-East, as are all the mono-theistic religions. So what the f*ck do you mean? Christians (Christianity) invaded and destroyed the native religions and cultures of Europe.

I noticed that the author puts alot of emphasis on the old testament which in Catholic tradition is of less importance than in Protestant congregations. In fact in Catholicism there are only two comandments summed up in Matthew's gospel in this way:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

I am not by any means defending the church as I'm myself an agnostic, but it is quite peculiar how protestant congregations and for this matter most American Christian believers, encompass with the belief of a vengeful God, rather than with the one of a compassionate God.

I never said anything about Christianity not originating in the Middle-East. My point was that even though they may have wronged Europeans in the past, in the present Christians are in general the most defensive of what's left of Europe, and those who break with Christianity tend to break with tradition entirely, including European culture.

Well, the church is defensive regarding its dogmas, as for globalisation and immigration I've never seen the church against it.
