Erwin Rommel: German hero

I started reading a biography of Rommel, The Trail of the Fox by David Irving. Unfortunately, school started and I haven't had time to finish reading it. He did not get along with the Italian commanders in North Africa, that's for sure.

As a sidenote, his son Manfred Rommel has become a very successful and loved mayor of the town Stuttgart for 22 (!!!) years, from 1974 to 1996.






He died in November 2013.

His family owns a lot of buildings around Stuttgart, I remember going into the garage of a building and reading a plaque "ROMMEL". I immediate remembered of Erwin Rommel, but thought this was just a coincidence at first.
