Is Norse mythology,culture and history the heritage of all germanics or just scandinavians?

It is a bit funny when some call british,irish and new world anglos or germans and dutch too as ''nordics''. I think some non-nordics try to hard to associate themselves with real nordics.

Much of what we know of Continental Germanic mythology is fragmentary. Few records survived. Norse mythology was much better preserved in the Icelandic Prose and Poetic Eddas, hence it is better known today.

Not entirely true. We know quite a lot from Roman sources, reconstruction, and texts like the Saxon Baptismal Vow.

Finns are special case, we are influenced by Norse culture more than any other non-Germanic population.
Reasons are many and go back to the ethnogenesis of Germanic peoples, it is under study today.

When you say Finns.. Do you also include Estonians?

It is basically the same mythology, but with some certain differences, which have previously been mentioned.

Some differences though, are quite interesting.

"the German Hercules" or Donar (Thor) had clubs instead of hammer pendants. Many of the Ing worshipped Nerthus it seems too.

I have been interested in the Aesir-Vanir war in Germanic/Norse mythology since it might have some historical base with the introduction of the Proto-Indo-European "war gods" with the early European "fertility gods", which the Vanir were mostly.

Norse mythology has a lot of parallels with other IE mythologies.
