Soviet soldiers are overrated. In western media they are portrayed as heroes, but in reality they were just meatsacks being thrown against German machine gun fire, barely even earning basic regard from their officers. Most of them had no will to fight.

Agreed. Lots of soviet soldiers cheated during war by intentionally maiming themselves and breaking their limb in order not to join the army. On top of that most soviet soldiers were obliged to take up/drink 0.5 litres of vodka to boost up the courage of soldiers before heading to battlefield.
Pathetic army indeed.

and one time, when he has some free time without tasting vodka, he also invented system of periodical elements.

I'm not chechen but that's not the point. It's not only applied to Russians but every other nationalities that was under Soviet Uninon. Red Army was consisted of various ethnicities that had no will to fight and were very reluctant to participate in the war but out of fear being killed by government they had to go to battlefield eventually.
