Why Mediterreanean food is considered the "greatest"

It's simply because southern countries have many kind of dishes and also they have "serving and eating together" culture.

When dutch people have their sandwich+fruit juice on their way, a southern is having breakfast with family at home.

What's wrong with fish? Fish are God's bounty given to humans wherever there's water. People who eat fish are wiser. It's true.

Nothing wrong with fish, but rotten fish is a tad bit too much.

It is because southerners themselves have a very infantile taste and only praise their own food, not liking what they have not eaten before (Italians etc.). They will in no way admit anything else. Northerners on the other hand are mature and open to food and tend to think "of course I like my own cultures food but it is a bit boring to admit it, I will go with something exotic"

"Mediterranean food" is only what the most common ingredients and recipes are in most mediterranean cultures, some of them being quite healthy

But northern cuisine made northerners taller, stronger and whiter according to science.

Having tried many types of food in London, such as Chinese, Indian, Thai, Japanese, Lebanese, American, Mexican, French, Greek, Turkish, Spanish, Italian, Caribbean, Brazilian, and more.... fruits, breads and cheeses from around the world in the markets and supermarkets here, cafes, restaurants and take-aways offering over 70 types of world cuisine in my city, I have to say that Indian food is the most delicious food in the world, hands down.... curry was actually invented in Britain and we have the annual British Curry Awards attended by the Prime Minister, etc.

Indian food is by far the most popular food in the UK, whilst Chinese is popular in the US (they've not tried Indian food as much in the US), but Indian food does make all the other types of cuisine dull in comparison. Even Prince William admits to loving curries and tandoori chicken and coconut chicken curry, chicken tikka massala, onion bhajis, etc, like a lot of Brits love it.

Japanese is by far the healthiest diet in the world, which is partially why the Japanese (along with their natural Shinto beliefs and lifestyle) have a very productive and long lifespan - the longest lifespans in the world.

Indian food is great for treats and special occasions, whilst Japanese food and sushi is best for regular meals, along with fresh fruits and salads and seafood, organic rice, freshly pressed fruit juices, green tea, mineral water, acai berries, etc.

I love this US guys reaction at eating Indian food for the first time. "It rules all the foods!"
It's served very differently in the UK.



Why Britain loves curry (this product isn't like authentic licenced Indian restaurant foods though).

The question is: why everyone loves Italian food and nobody would open a Swedish restaurant? The answer is: Swedish foods are disgusting, you eat just herrings and cawlifrowers, Italian foods on the contrary are among the best and they are more varied.
