This sort of robust look is not uncommon in Afrikaners. In fact, it's quite common. I've heard people say it comes from Malay admixture or whatever but that's bullshit. My DNA tests show no such admixture. It's likely just the result of genetic drift.

I have been classified as being borreby or alpinish looking....well really a mix of the two and when I ask why most people claim it is due to the fact my ancestors came from countries with high 'UP' types...such as Finland, Germany, Ireland, UK etc....I really do not know what they mean by this but oh well.
