Soviets where using Comintern and intelligence operations as their main method to expand their power.
They wanted Germany and the Western Allies to slug it out and after that they most certainly would have used also military power to take Europe.
Barbarossa did weaken USSR in the long run even if it made it strong in the short term, it was what USA and UK wanted from the East Front, no other winners from it directly.

Not really, they adapted fast even to the East Front but the allied combined production and manpower was unbeatable by then.

In the Western campaign their strategy and combined arms tactics where revolutionary and they did show briliant stuff in the East and Africa also.

Waffen SS set the standard and tactics for many modern units in capabilities.

Soviets were a state which declared war against whole world and clearly give message if we dont attack you now its because we are not ready. We are preparing and we will attack you when we have enough power.

Soviets resisted against Germans for what purposes? To be ruled by a system which eventually failed and left masses in poverty and make millions ready to work as sex sellers..after decades of genocides.
