I wonder where the figure of less than 3% of the world's population has red hair came from? It's not accurate as there are countries in Europe with less than 3% and it is much rarer in other parts of the world. It is much more likely to be at the highest end 0.5% and that is a generous figure. So many statistics are off. There are 1.5 Billion Chinese and 1 Billion Indians how much of a percentage would red hair be in those populations?

Yes, accurately less than 0.6% of the world population is red-haired.
