Hello from New York
Good day everyone, I'm a Canadian currently residing in New York. I've always been interested in genealogy and can trace my family back fairly accurately, on both sides, about two hundred or so years - to Lower Normandy, North West England and Basel-Stadt. I'm missing a few records so I don't have much information about my French maternal side - who settled in Canada sometime in the 19th century.
I'm also of course interested in anthropology and racial anthropology - all the nasty stuff you're not allowed to talk about anymore. Also have a cursory interest in Ancient history, especially of early Europe, but I haven't read much. In fact I just today bought a copy of Delbrück's Warfare in Antiquity: History of the Art of War.
Politically, I draw from both the left and right and am against the "Modern Order", Faustian civilization or whatever other name attaches itself to this epoch - global liberalism, Western hegemony, whatever. More on this later!
I enjoy quality music, cycling, reading, other things that Canucks do, and bathing in maple syrup in my free time mostly. That's about it, nice to meet you all.
