Is it possible that the founding Fathers were war criminals?

Maybe the really good people were the loyalists who also help found British Canada. They were more moderate there always.

Meh Canada is mini America to us hahaha. But yes they have closer ties in reality to Britain. Many settled in Ontario.

There is no such thing as a war criminal; war is inherently a crime. A criminal is a breaker of an enforced law of man, and this type of law only exists in society. Warfare is a lack of society. The primordial "state of nature" is a state of war, and the creation of society naturally follows this state and is designed to run smoothly and peaceably by the implementation of and obedience to a code of laws. During war the laws that may have existed between the two opposing parties have already disintegrated, because it is a return to the state of nature- and therefore the term criminal is irrelevant.

I'm sure had the term war-criminal or terrorist, especially, existed back then, the Founder Fathers would have been considered such in the eyes of the Crown. Of course then, the Crown would have been the criminal entity in the eyes of the Founding Fathers since this sort of thing depends on perspective. The hypothetical failure of the revolution would have been equivalent to the English maintaining their rule of law, thus giving them the military and governing authority to deem the rebels criminal. But since it did not happen that way, the Founding Fathers, having won, created their own law, legitimately following from nature's law that might makes right.

True they were seen as rebels, privateers which back then would have been the same as a terrorist. I found this shocking. The founding fathers hired Pirates to raid British shipping along the coast. Had the crown won the Rebels would have been screwed. They would have all hanged hahah.

Canada did not have the Wild West experience and had a more peaceful settlement of their West. They always had more order, moderation and less crime I believe.

Plus lots of clash with native americans. Native Americans are the majority I believe in Western Canada. Mind you a lot of white Canadians over the past have immigrated here.

I believe Canadian aboriginals are only a small minority everywhere in Canada.

The 2006 census counted a total Aboriginal population of 1,172,790 (3.75%) which includes 698,025 North American Indians (2.23%)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Nations#Demographics I don't think those areass would be in good shape, if they had large Amerindian populations. Americans didn't kill that many Injuns. That is greatly exagerated. In North America above Rio Grande they were never that numerous.
