ONtopic: Croatian and Serbian ethnonyms most probably derive from an Iranian word, which is not unusual considering various Iranian tribes were present in the original Slavic heartland. Since they were not as numerous as the local Slavs, they were eventually assimilated, but their tribal names, along with some of their words, persisted among the Slavs. It was not until the great migrations that their names were spread southwards, but it was Slavs that carried them this time.

I have attached a craniometric study comparing data collected in various medieval Slavic sites (most notably the Croatian ones) with that of medieval Iranian sites. It turned out medieval Croats from what is today south Croatia were most similar to Poles from Cedynia (NW Poland), with no apparent connection with the Iranians of that time.

and i believe that serbians(known as servii) were not iranian,but slavic people and nowdays country Serbia has nothing(or minor influence) to do with thracians as well as Romania has nothing(or minor influence) to do with dacians.Romanian people say that they are within dacian and roman origine but after romans in Romania were goths,than pecheneg khanate,than cumans(allies with early serbians and bulgarians).than a cuman named tihomir togomer made his name a latin one:tihomirus togomerus and his son basarab was the fisrt king of Walachia.i really believe that serbians got a pretty much look a like story with they're nation or...?

I heard they were slavic and that serbs migrated from the northeast of their present country. Aren't they related to russians?

if serbs and croats are not european than no one else in europe is european too you must keep in mind that the ancient iranians were europid aka whites so even if we are iranian or slavic we are still european and europids
