"Amara"
I know someone with it, and they say they have a Sicilian grandparent, hence the name. I know it is a common surname in some parts of eastern Sicily (Catania, Syracuse, and Ragusa), so I took it for granted. But, an Israeli-born Arab with a Sicilian surname seemed odd to me.
Of the three siblings.. one of them looks purely Sicilian, the other looks distinctly Levantine, and the third looks almost Egyptian (and pseudo African influenced). The one sibling, I find it hard to believe a mixture of Palestinian and Sicilian could give such a look.
However, when searching on Facebook, I can't see any evidence of this surname being anything but Sicilian. So I suspect their claim is true that they are not, in fact, fully Arab.
