Quick description of lyrics: It's a plea to a mother not to let her children into woods.
Adders with shining eyes will lure the daughters and sons away into far forests, and they will grow up and become evil witches.

Obviously there was a political meaning behind it, just like it was with many latvian songs during soviet times.

The Latvian Magnolia. Thumbing a person down over linking an inoffensive song she hates linked to her culture. Not unlike Czech, Latvians are known to be a cold people (a Latvian told me, this is a known trait of your country, not an insult).

Loxie isn't that bad. I don't even know her. It's just funny to notice what offends some people. In a way I appreciate honesty like that. Dutch and Belgian people are more passive aggressive and would simply ignore what they don't like.

Sorry, I didn't mean to thumb down your post, I messed up with the like and dislike buttons, and then tried to fix it. I hoped nobody would even notice

I think it has to do with their population size, they are being protective about their culture which I can understand when half of your country is ethnic Russian.
