Is Slovenia mostly blond like its border countries Italy and Austria?

There is not even slightest possibility, according to every hair/eye color map, genetic research, racial antrhopology, that people from your VIllage (presumably Albanian) look similar to Slovenes. Slovenes are lightest South Slavs to the core.

Well maybe you should visit. You will see the true untermensch, the highland peoples. I mean, all people look different. No need to draw conclusions based on the fact that most of the people were I'm from have brown hair/eyes. Not really the case. IDK, maybe it's just my family.

Also Slovenes do have certain amount of Germanic influence. For a few centuries, it was an integral part of the Austrian empire, and many of the people in the major town were ethnic Germans.

Slovenes are light haired people on average (light Brown/blondish), on pair with Austrians, lighter than North Italians but not by much. Facially they most look like Austrians more than other Slavs, so we always joked of them as Slavic Germans

The only experience i have had with Slovenians was a bus full of them that i saw in Venice and they looked pretty damn rough, no offense. They were all also smoking heavily and their bus looked like it might not make the trip.

Certainly more similar to Austria than Italy. The difference between Germans and Yugoslavs is gradual, whereas between Yugoslavs or Germans and Italians it's super sharp. The latter don't look similar at all.

Yugoslavia and Italy are pretty much on par when it comes to eye colour.
