I believe what I believe because I've been in majority black schools all my life, where I've been told to be guilty for my skin color; simply because rich Anglos did something a long time ago when my ancestors were peasants in Napoli.
I believe what I believe because I look at the world and desire form, order, beauty. I reach for something higher than my mere existence at a time when the world just wants the latest iPad.
I believe what I believe because I comprehend my existence as part of a greater whole. I am merely one among the multitudes which labored to create my physical form in this time and space.
I believe what I believe because my worldview is not merely an ideology, not a set of arbitrary political and economic principles to be grafted upon a social structure, but rather a comprehensive Truth, a way of being, a way of seeking, a way of seeing the world and setting it in motion.
My belief is not belabored by practicality, but rather a desperate kind of love.

I believe in what I believe when I have enough substantive (or sometimes tangible) evidence to support it.

I believe that my genes make me believe, what I believe: I am strong, earth is my mother, sky is my father. No matter, what happened to me in the past. It's like throwing a piece of gold in whatever ice, whater, dust, mud, clay, even if it is buried, it will still remain, what it is.

I believe in what I believe, because at the age of 43 I know believe what my heart and head tells me what is right sand just. Not what my schools taught me, not what was/is fashionable, what my peers believed. Life is a learning curve - I may reject my beliefs yet.
