- These are photos from the city competition, rather than from an anthropological site.

To determine the type of the head were measured longitudinal and transverse diameters, on which is calculated the cephalic index. The exponent 74.9 - corresponded dolichocephaly, 75-79.9 - mesocephaly, over 80 - brachycephaly.

57.86% of ethnic Russians from Krasnoyarsk - dolichocephalics (~74,9~) - It's just unbelievable results. When Bunak in the 50s studied Russian population of European Russia, the average cephalic index was - 81.4 and minimum value was - 78.
Also, cephalic index of Moscow children decreased from 83.3 to 80.3 (boys) and from 83.6 to 80.4 (girls). And that's not counting the past 16 years.

Cephalic index of the young (17-21yo) Russian population of the city Krasnodar (Southern Russia, 2010):
The average value of cephalic index in the group of young men - 76,63 ± 0,39 (^ = 6,2%), a group of young girls - 77,21 ± 0,31 (^ = 4,7%). Sex differences on this indicator are statistically significant (p <0.01). The shape of the skull boys were divided in the following ratio: 36.7% are long-headed (dolichocephaly), 16.3% - the round-headed (brachycephaly), and 47% have an average shape of the head (mesocephaly). Women: dolichocephaly - 36.8%, brachycephaly - 25% mesocephaly - 38.2%.
