    The collective cowardice continues. We expect this from other countries, but this uniform fear and submission in the United States is shocking.

    The country was founded on freedom — freedom of speech, individual rights, equality for all. This crushing surrender to the most brutal and extreme ideology on the face of the earth portends an unimaginable end to the American experiment.

    I have little faith in Seattle. They removed FBI wanted posters because “Muslims were offended.” When my organization resubmitted the global terrorism posters, we were refused. We are suing the city of Seattle.

    It’s a stinkin’ cartoon. A cartoon! If Muslims can’t deal with the freedoms we enjoy in America to mock, insult, ridicule, they should not immigrate here.

    And they may get it, as well. Is this America? The surrender to Sharia norms and collapse of a general understanding of the value of the freedom of speech is happening so rapidly, it’s extraordinary.

    Controversy over cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed hit home in Seattle recently, culminating in a protest outside of southend refugee service provider on Friday.

    A group of Somali Americans gathered outside the Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) on Martin Luther King, Jr. Way to demand the resignation of a teacher who showed the cartoons to her teenage students on the day after the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris.

    “We’re not gonna be silent when it’s something that’s not right,” said Hassan Aden, who was one of between 15 to 20 people who attended the protest. “We’re trying to show that we’re not happy with what she did.”

    The teacher, Deepa Bhandaru, recently earned her Ph.D from the UW Political Science department, and works for ReWA teaching a free class on world affairs for youth, where she showed the cartoons during a lesson on free speech and religious pluralism.

    A post by the Stranger (where Bhandaru has written a number of film reviews and other articles) came to her defense, saying that she’d already sent lengthly [sic] letters of apology to her colleagues at ReWA and to a local mosque attended by some of her Somali students.

    Bhandaru told the Stranger she thought the protest organizers were harping on the issue to score political points, and manipulating community members who didn’t speak English fluently.     Islamizing the Public Schools

    545819_115655711905193_1324446356_nThe Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is pressuring public schools in this country to make special accommodations for Muslim students and to deny comparable accommodations for students of other faiths.

    For example, CAIR’s instructional material for teachers entitled “An Educator’s Guide to Islamic Religious Practices” advises schools to permit Muslim students who wish to attend Friday congregational worship (known as Jum’ah) to “request a temporary release from school.”

    In Michigan, CAIR went beyond dispensing general advice from its guidebook. In April, 2013, it pushed for public schools in Dearborn, Michigan to accommodate Muslim students who wish to comfortably pray on school grounds and to allow Muslim students to leave early on Fridays for Jumu’ah prayers.

    The school superintendant caved, and CAIR got its wish.

    Just a few months earlier, the same CAIR Michigan branch had complained that a Detroit area elementary school was being too accommodating to Christians when it allowed its teachers to distribute permission slips for parents to sign so that their children could be released to attend off-site Bible studies classes.

    In his letter to the school district, CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid wrote in part:

    School staff and teachers are not to serve as advocates for one particular religion or congregation within a religion by passing out slips inviting parents to give permission for their children to attend religious instruction. . . According to the United States Supreme Court, the First Amendment clearly requires that public school students and their parents are never given the impression that their school/school district prefers a specific religion over others or sanctions religion in general.

    CAIR’s sanctimonious, hypocritical letter worked. It intimidated the school district into offering an apology.

    In California, the Islamists have already won in their efforts to get special treatment for Islam in the public schools.

    For example, several years ago seventh-graders at a San Francisco-area school were required to “become Muslims” for two full weeks as part of California’s world history curriculum. This included professing as “true” the Muslim belief that “The Holy Quran is God’s word,” reciting the Muslim profession of faith — “Allah is the only true God and Muhammad is his messenger” —and chanting “Praise be to Allah.” Just imagine what would happen if a public school told Muslim students to become Jews for two weeks and recite the traditional Jewish prayer: “Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

    Yet, in 2006, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in California dismissed a case brought by outraged parents even though Supreme Court decisions have kept religion out of public schools for decades. In a brief memorandum opinion, the appeals court concluded that the activities did not constitute “overt religious activities that raise Establishment Clause concerns.” The Supreme Court apparently forgot its own precedents when it refused to take an appeal from the 9th Circuit decision.

    While allowing Islamist indoctrination in public schools, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld another public school’s ban on a student performance of an instrumental version of Ave Maria at their high school’s graduation, because the performance could be seen as endorsing religion. These judges saw no inconsistency in allowing Muslim prayers in the classroom, while upholding the banning of a one-time performance of a Christian-themed instrumental classic.

    CAIR also sends its own lecturers into the public schools to indoctrinate impressionable students with Islamist propaganda and wants Muslim educators to have a say in textbook selection to spin the Islamist narrative in history and social studies texts.

    On November 29, 2011, for example, Hassan Shibly, CAIR Florida Executive Director, taught more than 400 Steinbrenner High School students, whose world history teacher asked Shibly to specifically cover sharia law and the mission of CAIR itself.

    We can be sure that Shibly left out of his biased presentation the part about sharia law’s call for violent jihad against the “infidels.” No doubt he also omitted CAIR’s connection to the Muslim Brotherhood or its alleged part in the Holy Land Foundation terrorist funding case.

    While CAIR sends its own representatives into public schools to indoctrinate students with its Islamist spin, it uses the legal system to bully teachers who dare to bring up examples of terrorists committing violence in the name of Islam. For example, CAIR’s Washington state branch accused a well-respected Washington public school teacher of being “racist.” CAIR complained that the teacher, while instructing her students about the dangers of bullying last October, used the terrorist groups Taliban and Hamas as examples of organizations that employ violence to “bully people.” CAIR called for a federal investigation and demanded information “regarding curriculum, approved texts and materials, internal correspondence, and past complaints against the district.”

    “Often one complaint is indicative of a larger pattern of biased education,” said CAIR-Washington’s civil rights coordinator, Jennifer Gist, in a statement. “We are requesting public records from the district to review their materials and past complaints, in an effort to analyze the quality of equal education it affords its students.”

    So far, the Washington state school district has stood up for its teacher. Let’s hope it doesn’t end up bending to CAIR’s will and that more public schools in this country resist the Islamists’ bullying, even if the Obama administration follows it usual course and supports the Islamists’ position.

    'One Nation Under Allah': The Islamization of American Public Schools

    Endless concessions and accommodations to Islamic demands only give way to more demands for even more Islam, as shown in the recent blockbuster revelations of an Islamic takeover of UK public schools. What is less well known is the same kinds of things are happening here in the United States.

    So outrageous were the allegations that the usually subdued and sharia-compliant British authorities initiated an investigation into the charges that devout Muslims covertly sought to “Islamize” the public schools in the UK. The bombshell was dropped last month in a leaked letter, describing an operation purportedly named “Trojan Horse.” According to Andrew Gilligan in The Telegraph, the jihad ringleader of the Trojan Horse plot constructed and implemented a “detailed blueprint for the radical ‘Islamisation’ of secular state schools.” The plot was so severe that a number of UK schools now face “special measures,” which is the British term for (at worst) closings and (at best) a takeover of the school administration.

    The plot called for “girls [to] be covered except for their hands and faces,” gender segregation/apartheid for some school activities, and an Islamic curriculum. Mirroring the Muslim Brotherhood strategic goal for the U.S., which according to a captured internal document was to work toward “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within, and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers,” this plot also sought to use the system to destroy the system.

    The plot was indeed undertaken. Non-Muslim headmasters and headmistresses were targeted for termination. Muslim parents were the foot soldiers. Muslim education officials were used to force schools that didn’t want to comply to fall into line with the “views and aspirations of Muslim parents and the local community.”

    They succeeded. In one school, Christian students had to teach themselves religious education because the teacher was devoting all his time to Muslim students. One school, Park View, instituted forced and discriminatory gender apartheid, with “boys sitting towards the front of the class and girls at the back or around the sides.” Students recounted in biology class, the teacher “briefly delivered the theory of evolution to comply with the syllabus.” According to a non-Muslim teacher, Park View’s principal, Mozz Hussain, spewed “mind-blowing” anti-American “propaganda” at assemblies. And Asif Khan, a Muslim teacher of Arabic, admitted that he made students sing chants attacking Christmas and Christian beliefs.

    The same kinds of things are happening here in America, but when my colleagues and I warn about them, we are called conspiracy theorists. Well, there is conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact. And we do see attempts to further the Islamization of the classroom here, in innumerable large and small ways, pushed by both Muslims and non-Muslims. A Muslim group is pushing for taxpayer-funded halal food in New York City public schools.

    Just last year, a Colorado high school principal defended his decision to allow high school students at Rocky Mountain High School to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic — “one nation under Allah.” Do students even begin to understand the implications of a nation under Allah and the sharia?

    Non-Muslim Michigan high school girls wore hijabs in school for a class lesson to “explore religion and identity.” In Michigan, a Christian College established a prayer room for Muslims. In Minnesota, a Catholic university installed mini-mosques and Islamic footbaths for Muslims.

    School curricula bash Judaism and Christianity and present Islam in an uncritically positive light, without a single word about Islam’s 1,400-year history of jihadi wars, land appropriations, cultural annihilation, and enslavement. Islamic supremacist groups have for quite some time consulted with public school textbook publishers and made sure that material presented on Islam was heavily slanted, even to the point of proselytizing. Combine that with the anti-Western multiculturalist bias of the publishers themselves, and the result is a large number of public school textbooks that denigrate Judeo-Christian Western civilization and portray Islam in a glowingly positive light.

    The American Textbook Council, an independent national textbook monitoring organization, issued a report in 2008 that showed that many commonly used public school textbooks “present an incomplete and confected view of Islam that misrepresents its foundations and challenges to international security.” For example, the popular middle school text Across the Centuries defines jihad as a struggle “to do one’s best to resist temptation and overcome evil.” Another middle school text in common use, History Alive! The Medieval World and Beyond, is just as distorted: “Muslims should fulfill jihad with the heart, tongue, and hand. Muslims use the heart in their struggle to resist evil. The tongue may convince others to take up worthy causes, such as funding medical research. Hands may perform good works and correct wrongs.” Not a word about war, conquest, or subjugation.

    Islam’s history of conquering and Islamizing non-Muslim cultures is whitewashed as well. A high school textbook, Medieval and Early Modern Times, calls medieval al-Andalus, Islam-ruled Spain, a “multicultural society.” Likewise, History Alive! says that in medieval Spain “a unique culture flourished in cities like Cordoba and Toledo, where Muslims, Jews, and Christians lived together in peace.” But in reality, Jews and Christians in medieval Spain were subjugated as dhimmis and never had equal rights with Muslims. Even historian Maria Rosa Menocal, who has done a great deal to spread the myth of a tolerant medieval Muslim Spain, admits that in al-Andalus, Jews and Christians “were required to pay a special tax — no Muslims paid taxes — and to observe a number of restrictive regulations: Christians and Jews were prohibited from attempting to proselytize Muslims, from building new places of worship, from displaying crosses or ringing bells. In sum, they were forbidden most public displays of their religious rituals.”

    Why are the textbooks this bad? The American Textbook Council report reveals that “Islamic organizations, willing to sow misinformation, are active in curriculum politics. These activists are eager to expunge any critical thought about Islam from textbooks and all public discourse. They are succeeding, assisted by partisan scholars and associations.”

    In late May 2010, Wellesley, Massachusetts, public middle school students took a field trip to the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center — the controversial Saudi-funded mega-mosque run by the Muslim American Society of Boston, where the Boston Marathon jihad murderers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev went to mosque. There, the students were separated by gender and the boys were asked to join the Muslim adults in their prayer. Several of the public school boys took part.

    The implications of this cannot be understated. This is an outrage. Your taxpayer dollars were going to brainwash our children to Islam.

    In May 2010, the Islamic Web site Sound Vision published a six-step plan by the founding director of the Council on Islamic Education, Shabbir Mansuri, on how to pressure public school authorities into allowing special accommodation for Muslims.

    These included “knowing what laws and regulations govern the issue of religious accommodation”: Islamic groups make skillful use of government directives requiring reasonable accommodation of religious practices. Mansuri also directed Muslims to make friends with a teacher and enlist him or her as an ally, even inviting the teacher over for dinner; to “leave a paper trail, but first, be really nice” (at first!); and to repeat these steps as necessary with the school principal and even the district superintendent. The Muslim complainant is never to give up until the concessions are granted.

    Look at the cynical and manipulative way in which Mansuri directs Muslim parents to push for prayer in the school:

    “[The first thing I would do is] arm myself with that piece of information and then set up a meeting with the principal of the school along with one of my favorite teachers at the school who will be very supportive, requesting that my son or daughter should be either permitted to [for example] go out to perform Juma prayer at a local Masjid and/or be allowed to perform Juma prayer along with other Muslim students on the school campus.” [emphasis added]

    This Islamic supremacist was directing Muslims to make friends with teachers and education officials in order to use them, and to take advantage of procedures and practices instituted by short-sighted American multiculturalists to gain yet another advantage for Islam.

    This is open source. Imagine what we don’t see. If this guide shows us anything, it’s what idiots they take us for. This is, of course, an outrage. None of this should be introduced into the public school. If this is what Muslim parents want, they should send their children to madrassa.

    Instead, they’re turning our public schools into madrassas.

    Fear of pro-Islamic bias delays state board's adoption of new social studies books


    MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Concerns that Alabama could recommend social studies textbooks with pro-Islamic bias caused the state board of education to cancel a planned vote on the books today, pending further review.

    State Superintendent Tommy Bice said he would review the 12 books criticized by conservative groups and issue a recommendation to the board in January.

    He had not decided whether he would recommend any of the books be excluded from the state's recommended textbook list for social studies.

    "It's not necessarily inaccurate information but possible perceived omissions and terminology that was not strong enough, things like that," Bice said of the allegations that the books "favored Islam."

    Board Vice President Charles Elliott of Decatur said he thought four of the 12 books would be removed.

    The board was slated to adopt the recommended textbook list for social studies, which includes more than 500 books, at its meeting today in Montgomery.

    But concerns over 12 of the books were raised by the Eagle Forum of Alabama, a longtime conservative interest group, and the Birmingham chapter of ACT! for America, a conservative group dedicated to protecting freedom and security in America -- though it has been criticized nationally as anti-Islamic.

    Specific concerns raised by the groups in a letter sent Dec. 4 to school board members included that the books under reported the positive impacts of Christianity and failed to accurately represent the spread of Islam through violence.

    "Islam was spread by the sword in most every case. The Muslims have killed millions in their 1,400-year history and enslaved millions more," wrote Larry Houck, the founder of ACT! for America's Birmingham chapter.

    Houck said after the meeting he has been researching Islam since the Sept. 11 terror attacks and his goal is to tell Americans "what's really going on," describing a non-violent Jihad in America that relies Islamic influence over textbook publishers.

    He also complained that the books dedicated more space to Islam and that sections on Islam usually have more and better photographs when compared to sections on Christianity and Judaism.

    "Why is so much text devoted to Islam? It appears to be deliberate efforts to proselytize for Islam and this is dangerous for our younger generations?" Houck wrote to the school board.

    Regardless of the content, Bice said, the books are only a tool that teachers can use. What children learn, he said, is decided by the state's course of study for social studies.

    That document only mentions Islam twice, he said, when it asks eighth graders to compare the development of early world religions and their philosophies and again when it asks them to "describe early Islamic civilizations, including the development of religious, social and political systems."

    Bice also said his decision to delay consideration of the textbook list was no reflection on the work of an appointed committee tasked with reviewing and recommending new social studies textbooks.

    That work started in March of 2012, he said. Alabama schools are not required to use textbooks recommended by the state board, nor are they barred from using texts that are not on the list.

    Police called to school protest over religious workshop

    The 45-strong rally followed uproar last week when parents were warned their children would have a racial discrimination note recorded against them if they failed to attend the workshop.

    Head of the Huntington primary school Lynn Small later apologised for her comments and withdrew the threat.

    The trip to Staffordshire University for around 100 children to learn about Islam was due to have taken place yesterday.

    But it was postponed by education chiefs over fears yesterday’s lunchtime protest at the school in Colliers Way may get out of hand.

    Police, who have kept watch outside the school each day since last Friday, moved the group on after an hour when pupils were due to leave for lunch.

    Staffordshire Police spokeswoman Hazel Dockery said: “The 45 demonstrators were advised to keep noise to an absolute minimum to ensure the children’s education wasn’t disrupted.”

    The school and Mrs Small declined to comment on the latest developments in the saga today.

    Ben Adams, Staffordshire County Council’s cabinet member for learning and skills, said: “It is a shame the children had to miss out on the workshop.”

    It is planned to reschedule the trip for Littleton Green students at a later date.

    Volusia’s textbook protesters regroup for another go


    Critics who say a world history book used in Volusia high schools promotes Islam are gearing up to renew their opposition to it even as similar campaigns are spreading across Florida.

    “We’re not going to drop the issue of the textbook,” said Tony Ledbetter, chairman of the Volusia County Republican Executive Committee and leader of the local protest. “As far as we’re concerned, it’s still of concern to a lot of parents.”

    Ledbetter, whose credibility with some party members was harmed after falling victim to an Internet propaganda hoax, is recruiting volunteers to serve on a Textbook Action Committee that would take those concerns to the School Board. The board decided this month to keep using the “World History” book published by Prentice Hall despite complaints it promotes Islam and neglects Christianity and Judaism, which are covered in sixth grade, in accordance with Florida curriculum guidelines.

    Supporters of the book say it provides information about Muslims’ beliefs without promoting their religion and encourages students to be tolerant of views different from their own.

    Ledbetter plans to call a meeting in early January for the group to develop its strategy. He expects it to extend beyond textbooks to issues like the Common Core academic standards that are being implemented in Florida schools. Critics like Ledbetter say the standards represent an illegal federal intrusion into local education, while Common Core supporters say the standards will better prepare students for college and careers.

    We all know of plenty of examples of the bias in social studies textbooks revealed by various groups and individuals. Concerned Tennessee citizens formed a group called Textbook Advocates that conducted reviews of over 50 textbooks that can be found here. Many of those errors involved Islam to include incomplete information on Muhammad, overstating Islam’s influence and simple disparity in word/sentence count on discussions of Islam versus other religions. Their findings are not surprising to readers of Citizen Warrior and others who follow this topic.

    The cleverly named, The Textbook Tattler was published to provide citizens with a synopsis of the typical errors found. It is likely these same errors are found in many of the textbooks found in states around the country. Tennessee’s efforts resulted in the current methodology of textbook selection to be under review and will most likely be replaced in the next legislative session. Their landmark success has inspired others to follow their lead including a group in Texas.

    In early 2014 Texas begins the process of reviewing Social Studies textbooks that will be used for the 2015-16 school year. A group called “Truth in Texas Textbooks” or “Triple T” have begun recruiting volunteers from inside of Texas and outside who would be willing to help review the Social Studies textbooks that will be submitted by publishers.

    Over 48 million textbooks are sold in Texas alone! This is a huge contract for publishers. Estimates range from 50-80% of school districts in the nation choose the same textbooks as those used in Texas schools. Publishers know, what sells in Texas will lead to millions of dollars in other states!

    The purpose of TTT is simple, to provide Social Studies textbooks that are truthful and factual that meet the Texas Education Knowledge Standards (TEKS) as defined here. Fortunately Texas has put in place a well-defined set of standards that were recently updated with this resolution on eliminating the pro-Islamic/anti-Christian bias found in the current social studies textbooks.

    TTT will not simply focus on eliminating this bias but many other “PC” related themes that are so often found in textbooks today. We are not affiliated with any other NPO or national organization but are independent and have reached out to groups and individuals around the country (including Tennessee) for volunteers who are willing to help us.

    The long-term goal would be to have one site, such as www.textbookadvocates.com be the single depository of these textbook reviews being done around the country so teachers, parents, advocates can have a single one stop shopping place to go and see a consolidated list of reviews of textbooks.

    Publishers get away with their PC tainted textbooks because in the past groups around the country didn’t talk to each other or communicate their findings. Building on what Tennessee has done Texas wishes to continue this movement to put these reviews, along with others, in the public domain at a single website that will give information to everyone who is interested.

    Anti-smokers advocacy groups weren’t effective until they banded together against the tobacco companies and shared the data from all their findings. TTT wishes to take the same approach.

    The most effective method for having an impact on your children’s textbooks may very well lie on not focusing on your own local school or state but helping Texas adopt the most accurate and factual textbooks which will in turn be likely to show up in your own school district. Additionally you can go through a process with other like-minded individuals who can help you learn the process for conducting reviews.

    Collaborative online project management tools, conference calls, use of webinars and other methods will be used to coordinate the efforts of those interested in volunteering. It doesn't matter where you live, you can help Texas and in turn help millions of other children around the country by joining TTT and volunteering. Please share this with teachers, active and retired who are tired of teaching inaccurate or misleading information.

You will be asked to complete a survey of interest, experience and level of commitment to the effort. TTT will conduct training beginning in early 2014 to provide reviewers with materials and templates of the best practices found among those experts who review textbooks.     Recruiting for experts in the field of US government, history, world history, civics, constitutional law, world history, geography are some of the specific knowledge sets that are needed. Advanced degrees or self-taught are the same to TTT; your knowledge and effort in this endeavor will benefit millions of children for years to come.
