Has this ever happened to you?

So let's say there is a thread which seems to be getting a lot of posts, so you decide to chime in and give a post of your own. Then nobody else posts on the thread and it goes down to the next page. You think to yourself, "what did I do wrong!?"

I call this being a "thread killer". So...has this ever happened to you?

Often especially on Germanic Worlds and I thought of the same name: thread killer. Being conceited, I thought of a flattering explanation.
Namely, that the other posters realised that whatever I said on the subject was the last word and there was no point in discussing it further ! :-D

Your posts must not be inflammatory enough. Try to swear a bit, maybe mention southern europe or degenerate facial features. That way you are unlikely to be ignored.

For Svipdag, he is older and smarter than the rest of us. Indeed that can shut down a topic too, when no one has something more to say which will be of value.
