Believe it or not I haven't heard them yet though I can't say I'm about to knock down the door of these people's houses to hear them talk either.

Not in general but it can sound annoying, esp. when it's spoken quickly.

I'll just say this: it's really grating on the ears. Puerto Ricans are hard to understand and drop a lot of consonants, and Dominicans don't even sound like they are speaking Spanish.
