When I was younger, I used to include ellipses and my vocabulary was much more complex. For me, I felt that it came off as unnecessarily intimidating and melodramatic, so I stopped writing like that.
I find myself nowadays repeating the same words or phrases in what post with increasing frequency. This is irritating but reflective of the fact that I have to repeat the same thing like bashing in someone's mind with a verbal hammer. Anyway, my purpose is to be understood in the most simplest way as possible while coming off as harmless and self effacing.
I believe words are spells. If you're well versed, you can spell bind anyone with a few choice words.
There's not anyone whose writing annoys me. The closest who would come to this is KevinB/ Desaix Deburgh, but reading his posts cheers me up in a weird way.

I have absolutely no problem with Armstrong or Unome on a personal level. I don't think I disagree with them more than with a plethora of other people, like Graham, Dexter Morgan, rhiannon, Instinct and many others (could be listing the whole night).
It's their writing.
I have told you before this, before opening this thread. The whole routine of personal poking/psychologization that you do is not good writing.

It's nothing to do with my writing style, though. I could write intelligently about My Little Pony if I wanted to. You're just pissed from the thread yesterday. It doesn't take an internet psychologist to figure that out.
You don't dislike Unome, but you don't respect him, you've essentially admitted as much on the chatbox.

Writing style I like: clear, unpretensious and no cheap-talk, something close to Herr Abbubu's. Refined speech comes with the necessity to express things better and is done when according to its convenience.
Writing style I dislike: Hàkon's, she uses unnecessary fancy speech, like really unnecessary, even to make posts whose contents are simple or trivial. Like she is far more worried about the form of the sentences than the content.

From a native perspective, I honestly treat all non-native speakers with mental kid gloves, even the ones with very good English. If an English person wrote in the way any of the non-Anglos here write, I'd be almost angered, but as I know you're non-native, it actually impresses me instead, because you're all so articulate, coherent and informative, even if your writing mannerisms are at least slightly off. Hakon's writing only ever impresses me. However, objectively speaking, if I were a different, harsher person, I would find most writing styles here in some way lacking, in the way a non-native speaker can never fully ingratiate themselves in the host culture.
I find Butlerking's writing horrible, because he tries/tried to pass himself off as native, and it infuriates me. Of course, he's an extreme example. But if he had been honest about his provenance I wouldn't mind him, either.
I suppose apart from obvious fakes like him, I don't mind any of your writing. Of the native speakers, Jim Crow probably has dyslexia, which is, however, fine, and English Rose's writing is often very, very robotic.
Graham likes to write in Scots but I find that twee.
