Take-home essays because I'm usually very good at them, but they also take a lot more time. So it really depends on what kind of test it is.

I think I'm one of the few students who actually write them every time. I don't mind in-class tests either, but take-home papers are easier to write even though they take much more time. Having more time and sources (aside from usual textbooks) at disposal does it for me.
