It's dependent on the region. North Iraqis are more similar to Levantines genetically while south Iraqis are more peninsular.

We are closer to the Arabian peninsula, by culture, look, tradition, and tribal affiliations. Us and the Arabian peninsula are basically the same people.

Iraq is lot more diverse than other middle eastern countries because of geography they have overlaps with levant, North West Iran and Gulf region depending upon location/tribe/ethnicity. I have seen quite a few Med looking Iraqis.

I love Iraqis I'm Kuwaiti , some of them look levantine some can look like Gulf Arabs especially southern Iraqis
